Next Steps

NetID
In mid-May you will receive in your matriculant mailing your NetID and password.  If you do not receive a NetID by the end of May, contact the Office of Information Technology Help Desk at (919)-684-2200.  You must send in your matriculation deposit to receive your NetID.

Registration
In mid-May you will receive a First-Semester Registration Workbook.  The workbook is designed to guide you through the registration process for your first-semester courses. Review the workbook and consult the recommended Web sites for information about foreign language placement, AP equivalency rules, and planning your first-semester course schedule.

If, after reading the workbook, you find that you still need advice about your fall courses, or curriculum requirements, you can consult with an academic dean:

DukePass
DukePass is the student portal for all undergraduates.  DukePass makes it easy for you to manage your Duke accounts through a single sign-on, including:

Orientation sign-up
Duke e-mail account
ACES
Blackboard (course-related Web sites)
Flex account and food (dining) balances
Library account
DevilTalk (student discussion board)

Digital Duke
Duke is a digital campus with wireless computer access throughout campus and 24 fully equipped computer labs.  The university supports a range of innovative instructional technologies, and provides students with necessary training and technical support.
