Congratulations #Duke2024

ED Blue Devil Day

Welcome, Future Blue Devil! Congratulations on your acceptance to Duke’s Class of 2024. We invite you and your family to join us for Early Decision Blue Devil Day, our admitted student visitation program.

Duke Chapel
First-year students raise their hands to touch confetti.

This day will allow you to meet professors and administrators, and learn more about our academic and co-curricular programs. More importantly, you will meet some of the most talented and engaging college students in the world. Our students are Duke’s best advocates; their enthusiasm alone will make you excited that you have joined the Duke community.

Early Decision Blue Devil Day in January is tailored specifically for students who have chosen to attend Duke and are preparing for their next four years on Duke’s campus. Early Decision students are not able to attend Regular Decision Blue Devil Days programming in April. However, if Early Decision students are unable to attend Early Decision Blue Devil Day in January, we have ample opportunity for them to visit campus throughout year via campus tours, classroom shadowing, specialized tours of Pratt, the Rubenstein Arts Center, and more.

Questions? Please email us at bluedevildays@duke.edu.

Guest Policy

Due to venue capacity constraints, students may bring one parent/guest for Early Decision Blue Devil Day. This guest will receive a wristband upon arrival that will allow them access into each session.

We understand that some students will be traveling with more than one family member in their party. We will do our best to accommodate additional guests as space permits. However, due to high registration numbers, we cannot guarantee that additional guests will be seated for all sessions. We project that many sessions will be at capacity. Additional wristbands will be available at the Parent/Guest Table during check-in on a first-come, first-served basis.

The following events are open to all guests, regardless of wristband:

  • 8:30–10:00 a.m. – Signature Opportunities Fair
  • 10:45–11:30 a.m. – Trinity Advising Panel
  • 10:45–11:30 a.m. – Pratt Advising Fair

Brief Agenda

Check-in will open at 8:00 a.m. in the Bryan Center on West Campus. The Signature Opportunities Fair will run from 8:30–10:00 a.m., with the Welcome Session beginning at 10:00 a.m. The final session of the day will conclude by 4:00 p.m.

More event details will be posted closer to the event.
