In 2012, Mackebee scored a come-from-behind win to make it through a quarterfinal round on Jeopardy! the College Championship. Then a senior, he was one of 15 players selected from a pool of 12,000 students to compete in the show.
Greer Mackebee is a Duke alum from Knoxville, Tennessee, who studied senior civil and environmental engineering. During his time at Duke, Mackebee embarked on an eight-week DukeEngage service experience doing service in Honduras. His project focused on building a maternal health clinic in the town of Las Mercedes, where he was able to directly apply his engineering know-how.
Mackebee is currently enrolled in law school at Stanford University and plans to practice energy law and to work with energy entrepreneurs and clean-tech companies.
